Long story short — It was a wonderland!
S.O.L became a social phenomenon based off of a shared interest: hope, love and a new perspective of the world.
It was an escape from the violence of the Vietnam War.

A new community was evolving with people from different parts of the world and consciousness began expanding with the use of marijuana, and to an extent LSD. This movement gave hope beyond these social constructs, that this life indeed is worth living.

Being alive should be ecstasy. It should be joy.
